Athens City Code

It is unlawful for any person to litter, place, throw, or allow to fall on any street, alley or sidewalk any refuse, glass, tacks, sweepings, or other objects or materials which are unsightly or which obstruct or tend to limit or interfere with the use of such public ways and places for their intended purposes. Trucks are expressly required to be so loaded or covered that sand, gravel, or other materials being transported will not be allowed to fall or be blown into any public way or place pursuant to T.C.A. § 39-14-507.
