Athens City Code

The fee for the grading permit is intended to assist the city in recovering some of the expenses associated with the permit process. These costs consist primarily of administration, inspection, and enforcement activities and shall be approved and set by the city council. Fees are due upon submission of the permit application and are available at the public works department.
