14-169 Plant Installation Specifications

  1. (1) Intent. All landscaping materials shall be installed in a sound, professional manner and according to professionally accepted good planting procedures. Any landscape material which fails to meet the minimum requirements at the time of installation shall be removed and replaced with acceptable materials.
  2. (2) Prohibited plants. The following plants are prohibited from being used to meet these requirements due to problems with hardiness, maintenance, or nuisance:
    1. (a) Kudzu vine.
    2. (b) Garlic mustard.
    3. (c) Purple loosestrife.
    4. (d) Paulownia.
    5. (e) Japanese honeysuckle.
    6. (f) Multiflora rose.
    7. (g) Shrub honeysuckle.
    8. (h) Siberian elm.
    9. (i) Autumn olive.
    10. (j) Silver poplar.
    11. (k) Common privet.
    12. (l) Mimosa.
    13. (m) Tree of Heaven.
    14. (n) Mulberry.
    15. (o) Silver maple.
