VIVID AWARD PRESENTATION 
 
Ladies and Gentlemen: 
 
 At this time, I would like to invite Rusty Rollins , representing Food City #686, to come 
forward to accept the V IVID award for January 2023.   The VIVID award is given by the Athens 
City Council to recognize significant volunteer service. 
 
 Tonight, it is our honor to present this award to Food City #686 for their continued 
dedication and support of the City of Athens.  Food City has supported the Instore Donation 
Card, Food City School Bucks, Race Against  Hunger, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Juvenile 
Diabetes Research Foundation, Friends/Pets in Need Holiday Drive, Share Your Christmas , 
United Way Celebrity Bagging Event, United Way of McMinn & Meigs Counties, McMinn County 
Education Foundation, Athens Area Council for the Arts, Athens Chamber of Commerce, Athens 
Kiwanis Clu b, Tennessee Wesleyan University, McMinn County High School Foo tball, and 
Athens/McMinn Family YM CA.  Their genero sity and benevolence  since 2017 has been a 
blessing to these recipients. 
 
 On b ehalf of the City Council and the citizens of Athe ns, we express our appreciation 
this evening to Rusty Rollins  and Food City #686 for their continued support of our city.  Ladies 
and Gentlemen, please join me in recognizing Foo d City as the Very Im portant Volunteer 
Individual for January 2023.
