X a. Consideration of Recinding the December 17, 2024 V ote to Demolish North City School 
Overview 
During the December 17, 2024 regular session, the Council voted to demolish North City School. 
Based on that approval, city staff is preparing a bid package to distribute to interested companies 
to obtain competitive bids to perform this work. Once the bids are received, they will be presented 
to Council for consideration.

ouncilmember has requested that the demolition of North City School be reconsidered. 
Summary of the January 13, 2025 Work Session 
Following discussion, the consensus was to place this item on the January 21, 2025 regular meeting 
for further discussion. If the vote to demolish is rescinded, then have staff prepare a RFP to solicit 
interested parties to determine their interest in leasing the building and making improvements.   
Action to Consider 
Motion, second, and vote are needed to rescind the December 17, 2024 vote to demolish North 
City School and authorize staff to prepare a RFP to determine if any interested parties have interest 
in leasing the building and making improvements.
