VIII. J.  Approve Resolution 2025-34, a Resolution Concerning the Extension of Davis 
Place Drive and New Roadways off Shadows Lawn Drive Built to City Standards 
to be Named ‘Meadow Wood Lane’ & ‘English Oak Lane’ and Accepting said 
Streets into the Street System of the City of Athens, Tennessee. 
 
Overview 
The attached  resolution authorizes the City of Athens to formally accept newly constructed 
roadways within Davis Place Subdivision Phase II into the City street system. The Athens 
Municipal Regional Planning Commission recommended acceptance at its December 1, 2025 
meeting, and all required agencies have approved the street names. 
 
Following discussion during the December 8, 2025 work session, the consensus was to place 
this item on the December 16, 2025 regular session consent agenda for approval. 
 
Action to Consider 
A motion, second, and majority vote are needed to approve.
