Bid Award for RFB 26-03 Athens Fire Station No. 3 Councilmember Sherlin moved to award the bid to KTM Builders, LLC in the amount of $5,985.590 from the Capital Improvement Fund seconded by Vice Mayor Curtis. Mayor Eaton moved to fund the project with a $3,000,000 loan or other debt issuance, with the remaining project costs to be funded from the Capital Improvement Fund. Councilmember McCowan seconded the motion. Before the motion was put to a vote, the motion was withdrawn. During discussion, Vice Mayor Curtis stated that he would like to discuss options for reimbursing the Capital Improvement Fund for a portion of the project costs during upcoming work sessions. Additional Parking at Cook Park Councilmember McCowan moved to award the project for additional parking at Cook Park . Councilmember Sherlin seconded the motion. The motion was subsequently withdrawn. Councilmember McCowan moved to proceed with obtaining a proposal from the engineer currently working on the Parks Master Plan for the additional parking project.
