FY 2024-25 ACCOMPLISHMENTS 
• Partnered with NoogaLights, LLC to develop a drive -through Christmas light show at Regional Park
as a holiday event for city residents and visitors.

rtnered with McMinn Regional Humane Society to provide services at the city’s Animal Shelter.
• Spons
ored the annual Veterans Day Parade on a permanent basis.

ld the annual S trategic Summit at Tennessee College of Applied Technology , facilitated by the
Southeast Tennessee Development District (SETD), to discuss and outline the general goals
for the upcoming fiscal year.

pleted a traffic safety action plan to identify problematic and unsafe traffic areas throughout the
city using a federal Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Grant.

ote a $1M Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to improve Knight Park, N. Jackson
Street, and N. White Street. Anticipated award during September 2025.
• Appr
oved a homeless camping ordinance.
• Upda
ted the City Code.
• Rep
aired the government access channel 95 and updated its content for better citizen and visitor
communication.

inue to update and modernize the city’s website for better citizen communication.

inued the discussion of creating a historic overlay district for the downtown area.

uired routing software/hardware for garbage trucks to increase operational efficiency.
