Agenda Item IV. K. Purchase of Equipment and Services for the Decatur Pike Corridor Traffic Signal Retiming Project Overview The City Council funded a traffic signal study for the Decatur Pike corridor between Denso Drive and Holiday Drive. Kimley- Horn conducted the study and it was completed during July 2025 (see attached study) . The analysis reviewed four intersections (Denso/Milton, I -75 Southbound Ramps, I -75 Northbound Ramps, and Holiday Drive) . All intersections are currently operating at acceptable levels of service but the study identified targeted improvements to increase efficiency and traffic coordination. The FY 2025-26 approved Capital Improvement Fund budget contains $193,000 for this project. The city’s traffic signal maintenance contractor, Stansell Electric, provided a proposal totaling $257,409.15 for this project or $64,409.15 over the estimated budget. This overage amount will come from the Capital Improvement Fund. Action to Consider Consensus is needed to move this item to the September 16, 2025 regular session for consideration.
