RFQ for Stormwater Consulting
Background 
The City of Athens has been working on soliciting Requests for Qualifications for Engineering services 
related to the ARP Stormwater Funded Projects.  In doing this the city received qualifications from four 
different firms.  Those firms were Stantec, JMT, CEC, and Gresham Smith.  A panel from the city was 
c
onvened to judge the proposals and meet with the firms.  
We determined that the best firm to provide these services to the city was Gresham Smith. It is the 
committee's recommendation that we award this firm the RF
Q and enter into negotiations with them 
regarding their services. 
Action Item 
We ask that the City Council allow a 
Notice of Award contingent on negotiations regarding fees so that 
we can move forward with this project.  After which, we will engage with the contractor to recieve 
their services for this project.
