Recommendation:
Our review and evaluation found that the apparent low bidder, GCE Construction, holds a current contractor’s
license in the State of Tennessee. It also appears that GCE is experienced in the type of work required by this
project, and is in possession of sufficient financial resources to perform the work. Allen & Hoshall recommends
that the City of Athens, TN accept the apparent low bidder’s proposal and award the project with Base Bid amount
for the Regional Park House Remodel Project to, GCE Construction. in the amount of $816,500.00.
