a. July 4th Event and Other 
Community Events
The Purchasing Division is preparing/distributing a c
ompetitive bid to acquire a company
to conduct a 20 minute, $45,000 +/- firework show at Regional Park for  the July 4th holiday.
Once bids are received, they will be presented to Council for consideration.
b. Event Safety
c. Downtown Sidewalk
 Cleaning
The Public Works Department is obtaining quotes from companies to pressure wash
selected downtown sidewalks to eradicate previous chalked markings. Once quotes are
obtained, a company will be selected to perform the work.
d. Completion of the Animal Shelter
The last few items needed to be completed for the Animal Shelter are the exterior building
sign, security cameras, and fencing for dog runs. The exterior building sign has been
ordered
 with a delivery/installation date of late January. The security cameras have been
ordered. The fencing materials have been 
delivered and are in the process of being installed
by city crews.
e. Purchasing Policies and Food Policies
Staff is currently updating its purchasing policies and food purchase policies and should
have those policies ready for Council review during the February meeting.
f. Requesting the McMinn County Emergency Communications District  Board to Have a
Appointed City Representative on its Board
