XI a. Memorandum of Agreement Between the City of Athens and McMinn Regional Humane 
Society 
Overview 
A memorandum of agreement has been prepared between the city and McMinn Regional Humane 
Society (MRHS) to outline the understanding and responsibilities of each party regarding the joint 
development and operations of the new animal shelter. The revised memorandum of agreement is 
attached and has been distributed to the city attorney for review with consultation with the Humane 
Society. 
Summary of the February 10, 2025 Work  Session 
Following discussion and making potential revisions to the agreement in the areas of cost 
reimbursements from the Humane Society, the consensus was to place this item on the February 
18, 2025 regular session agenda for further discussion.
