Chest Compression Devices for the City Fire Department 
 
Overview 
The County has funds available for medical equipment and supplies and the Athens Fire 
Department would like to request $42,000 from the County to acquire two LUCAS Chest 
Compression devices. A match is not required. The addition of these life -saving devices would 
significantly enhance the city’s Fire Department capabilities and improve outcomes for people 
experiencing cardiac arrest.

Motion, second, and vote are needed to request $42,000 from McMinn County to acquire two
