A
 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF ATHENS– MT. VERD INDUSTRIAL PARK 
SITES IMPROVEMENTS 
APPALACHIAN REGIONAL COMMISSION GRANT 
ENGINEERING SERVICES SELECTION 
W
HEREAS, the City of Athens was awarded an Appalachian Regional Commission Grant 
for $1,000,000 for site grading and improvements to the Mt. Verd Industrial Park; and  
W
HEREAS, the City of Athens has partnered with McMinn County and the McMinn County 
Economic Development Authority to share in costs associated with this project and grant award; 
and; and 
W
HEREAS, the City of Athens will require technical assistance in order to complete 
engineering design and construction engineering inspection for the project; and 
W
HEREAS, the City of Athens  publicly advertised an d released an  Invitation to Submit 
Statements of Qualifications for the above-referenced services,

OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Athens, Tennessee, as 
follows: 
T
hat the recitals above are true and accurate and form a part of this Resolution; and 
T
hat meeting in regular session this 19th day of March, 2024, that the City of Athens has 
selected Croy Engineering to perform Engineering Services for the Mt Verd ARC Grant Project.
