Agenda Item
VIII. A. Replace Existing Court Lighting Fixtures and Add New Pedestrian Lighting at
Ingleside Park and Replace Existing Court Lighting Fixtures at Heritage Park

Overview

Ingleside Park
The FY 2025-26 Capital Improvement Fund approved budget contains $195,000 to replace the
existing metal halide court lighting fixtures to LED and add new LED pedestrian lighting at
Ingleside Park. The project manager acquired prices for the court lighting equipment and
installation from NGU, under a Sourcewell cooperative purchasing c ontract that is allowed
under the city’s purchasing policies ($139,000). The LED pedestrian lighting equipment will be
provided by an Omnia cooperative purchasing contract ($8,634.04). The pedestrian lighting and
cameras will be installed by Massey Electri c ($10,320). The engineering will be performed by
Lose Engineers ($3,500). A 10% contingency would be $16,145 to react to unforeseen expenses,
if any. The project total is $177,599.04, or $17,400.96 below the approved budget.

Heritage Park
The existing metal halide court lighting fixtures at Heritage Park also need replacement to LED
but was not included in the original renovation work that is currently being performed. The court
lighting equipment and installation will be provided by NGU under the Sourcewell cooperative
purchasing contract ($34,000) and the engineering will be performed by Lose Engineers
($5,500). A 10% contingency would be $3,950 for a total project cost of $43,450.

Total Cost of Both Projects - $221,049.04

By using the remaining funds from the Ingleside project of $17,400.96, only $26,049.04 will be
needed from Capital Improvement Fund reserves to complete Heritage Park.

Attached are a memorandum from the project manager regarding Ingleside and Heritage Parks
for additional information, cost summary of both projects, and project details of each project. If
approved, completion would be during January 2026.
