I. Welcome a. Roll Call: SISTER CITIES PROGRAM MINUTES MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS Tuesday, January 13, 2026 12:00pm - City Hall i. Present: Betty Ruleman, Lindsey Ferguson, Sandra Kinney, Randy Dowling, Anna Barrios, and Joe Barnett ii. Absent: Larry Eaton, Becky Simpson, and Austin Fesmire II. Approval of Minutes a. Motion was made by Lindsey Ferguson, seconded by Joe Barnett, for the approval of the November 12, 2025 minutes. Motion carried Ill. New Business a. Vacancy Appointments Discussion -The city manager, mayor and vice manager will be having a lunch meeting with the Denso executives and will discuss the open position with them. b. Planning for 2026 Chinzei Gakuin Visit - Anna Barrios informed the board there is enough money in the program budget for one excursion but the MOU has two listed, so there is a need for financial support and any additional involvement would be welcome. There are to be 20 students scheduled to be on campus July 12-26, 2026 with 2 faculty members coming with them. TWU will hire 4 local SCRA's again. Anna will bring the most updated schedule to the next meeting. c. Lectu_re Series from the Asian c;:ulture Center - Board discussed having 3 of the most popular events; Bento Box making, Sushi making (perhaps on International Sushi Day of June 18) and Sandra will contact Mana to make a suggestion for a cultural class. The classes are suggested to be in March, June and September; if available. Classes will need venues- Food Hub, Higher Education Center and the Museum were suggested locations. IV.
