SISTER CITIES PROGRAM 
 
MINUTES 
MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS 
Wednesday, May 14, 2025 
12:00pm – City Hall 
 
I. Welcome  
a. Roll Call: 
i. Present: Victoria White,  Lindsey Ferguson , Larry Eaton , Austin Fesmire, 
Ersa Henry, Randy Dowling  
ii. Guests: Sandra Kinney 
iii. Absent: Becky Simpson and Betty Ruleman 
II. Approval of Minutes 
a. Motion was made by Lindsey Ferguson, seconded by Randy Dowling, for the approval 
of the March 26, 2025 minutes. 
Motion carried 
 
III. New Business 
a. MooFest – Discussion of MooFest on June 7 th and volunteers needed to work the 
booth. Victoria informed the Board that Denso employees would also be in 
attendance to work the booth. 
b. JapanFest – Victoria gave an overview of the success of the event and the participation 
from the community with the activities were well received. Denso employees helped 
coordinate many activities including calligraphy, shamisen and the Denso robot. 
c. Dinner for Mayor with Consul General  – Larry and Victoria have been invited to the 
dinner and the Board discussed gifts to take from Athens. 
d. Chenzei Gakuin Visit 
i. Saturday Menu – Dinner menu has been set with Patriot Cakes. 
e. Add Athens City Director of Schools and Main Street Director to Board of Directors 
Motion was made by Ersa Henry, seconded by Randy Dowling, to approve the addition 
of the Main Street Dir ector and the Athens City Director of Schools or their Proxy to 
the Sister Cities Board of Directors. 
Motion carried
