MINUTES 
MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS 
 
Wednesday, June 21, 2023 
12:00pm – EDA Boardroom 
 
I. Welcome  
a. Roll Call: 
i. Present: Victoria White, Austin Fesmire, Lindsey Ferguson, Becky Simpson, Dick 
Pelley Mike Keith, and Betty Ruleman 
II. Approval of Minutes 
a. Motion was made by Becky Simpson, seconded by Victoria White, for the approval of 
minutes of the April 18, 2023 meeting. 
Motion carried 
III. Reports 
a. Financial report was given to the Board 
IV. New Business 
a. CG Welcome Dinner at Trinity UMC on July 17, 2023  – Invite City Council and Mayor 
Gentry to dinner for meet and greet for any questions. 
b. Proposed New Member Ersa Henry – Have letter submitted from TWU president to have 
Ersa Henry l isted as the TWU repres entative and change Betty Rulem an to the City of 
Athens representative.  Have applications submitted by both for new positions. 
c. Other Business by Members – Applicants for Student Exchange Program should be City of 
Athens or McMinn County residents and high school age.
