Agenda Item
X. A. Cook Park Splash Pad

Overview
During the March 18, 2025 regular session, the C ity Council requested staff explore the cost and
feasibility of constructing a new splash pad at Cook Park. Based on that directive, estimated costs
of a new splash pad were obtained from professional vendors, V ortex and Great Southern. Those
estimated costs were presented to the City Council during the April 7, 2025 work session.
However, this item was not moved to the April 15, 2025 regular session but was discussed anyway
but died for lack of a second to a motion. During the May 12, 2025 work session, Councilmember
Pelley requested this item be reconsidered. Again, this item died for lack of a second to a motion.
During the June 7, 2025 work session, the City Council again requested that this topic be placed
on the July 15, 2025 regular session for further discussion.
