RESOLUTION NO. 2025-34 
A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE EXTENTION OF DAVIS PLACE DRIVE AND 
NEW ROADWAYS OFF SHADOWS LAWN DRIVE BUILT TO CITY STANDARDS TO 
B
E NAMED ‘ M EADOW WOOD  LANE’ AND ‘E NGLISH OAK LANE’ AND 
ACCEPTING SAID STREETS INTO THE STREET SYSTEM OF THE CITY OF 
A
THENS, TENNESSEE." 
WHEREAS, the Athens Municipal Regional Planning Commission recommends the 
acceptance of approximately 695 feet of roadway named ‘ M eadow Wood Lane’, approximately 
355 feet of Davis Place Drive extension and approximately 1175 feet of “English Oak Lane’ into 
the
 city street system as shown on the attachment title ‘Roadways for Davis Place Subdivision 
Phase II’; and  
WHEREAS, the above portion of the streets were recommended for acceptance by the 
Athens Municipal Regional Planning Commission at their regular meeting December 1, 2025; and 
WHEREAS, all ne cessary age ncies ha ve approved t he  above stated s treet na mes and  
recommend their acceptance; 
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Counc il of the City of Athens, Tennessee, 
as follows: 
That the recitals above are true and accurate and form a part of this Resolution; and the Athens 
Board 
of Mayor and Council, meeting in regular session this 16th day of December , 2025, 
officially accepts the roadways and official names of Meadow Wood Lane and English Oak 
Lane and incorporates same into the City of Athens roadway system; and
