VIII k. Approve Application from McMinn County Living Heritage Museum for Additional 
Hotel/Motel Tax Funds 
Overview 
During the October 15, 2024 regular session, the council approved to increase the maximum 
amoW1t of Hotel/Motel Tax FWlds that entities can request from $10,000 to $15,000 for FY 2024-
25. Also, during the Octo her 15, 2024 regular session, the council approved granting $10,000 to 
the Museum for their programs and advertising. 
The Museum has now applied for $5,000 in additional funding from the Hotel/Motel Tax Fund for 
operating costs for the museum, primarily salaries and expenses for larger tourist events and their 
advertising. Their application is attached and all paperwork is in order. This amount, if approved, 
would bring their total grant allocation to $15,000.

Fallowing discussion, the consensus was to place this item on the December 17, 2024 consent 
agenda for approval. 
Action to Consider 
Motion, second, and vote are needed to approve the application from McMinn County Living 
Heritage Museum for additional hotel/motel tax funds as presented.
