The current Municipal Building is being served by a mixture of Gas Packaged Roof Top Units 
and split air handler units. The restrooms are provided with roof top exhaust fans. 
Most of the roof top units were installed in 2009 and are now at the end of their usefu I life and 
will need to be replaced with matching tonnage and air now ratings. The heating and cooling 
needs of the current floorplan and layout are being met and the existing unit size is not 
currently an issue. Any new floor plan changes will need to be verified to meet cooling and 
heating needs and the vent ilation requirements will need to be verified to meeting current 
code requirements . 
The main trunk ductwork appears to be in good working order and properly insulated with 
returned air ducted back to the units. There appears to be no issue with current ductwork 
layout as it exists but access control modifications have been implemented since the 
installation of the existing HVAC systems and assessment of the impacts to air circulation have 
not been performed . 
The dedicated unit serving the IT infrastructure room was replaced in 2016 and functions 
adequately. 
2.1 Building Code Issues 
Any new equipment provided will be designed to current code standards and requirements, 
including outside air requirements for any new buildings . This includes meeting current code 
requirements for outside air and ventilation for the new facility and any areas that will be 
changing. 
3.0 PLUMBING 
3.1 Restrooms and Fixtures 
The existing restrooms consist of floor mounted flush valve water closets, wall hung flush valve 
urinals, and wall hung lavatories. There are multiple wash stations and double sinks as 
required in for different needs. The existing restrooms lack the quantities of fixtures as 
required by code to meet the proposed use and currently do not meet ADA requirements. 
3.2 Piping Systems 
The existing domestic hot and cold water piping consist of insulated copper piping and the 
existing sanitary waste and vent system is standard weight cast iron and PVC. It has been
