XI b. Appointment to the McMinn County Library Board 
Overview 
Currently, the city has one vacancy on the McMinn County Library Board out of its three members 
due to the resignation of John Duggan. 
Two city residents have submitted applications for the one vacancy, Jacob Burnette and Amy 
Sullins to fill Mr. Duggan's unexpired 3-year term until June 30, 2026. Those two applications are 
attached. 
Summary of the December 9, 2024 Work Session 
Following discussion, the consensus was to place this item on the December 17, 2024 agenda 
under New Business to consider appointing Jacob Burnette to the McMinn County Library Board. 
Action to Consider 
Motion, second, and vote are needed to appoint Jacob Burnette to the McMinn County Library 
Board for an unexpired 3-year term until June 30, 2026.
