DIVISION PROFILE STAFFING PLAN FY 2025-26 BUDGET PRIORITIES 3 Total Positions 6 6 6 Custodian (Part-Time) 1 1 1 Park Maintenance Foreman 1 1 1 1 1Park Maintenance Technician Park Assistant 1 3 3 The Parks & Recreation Department consists of four divisions: the Administration Division, Maintenance Division, Pool Division, and the Programming Division. Position Title FY 2023-24 FY 2024-25 FY 2025-26 The Maintenance Division maintains ten city-owned parks and their amenities consisting of Regional Park (including the Southeast Tennessee Trade & Conference Center and splash pad), Heritage Park, Ingleside Park, Cook Park, Veterans Park, Eco Park, Prof Powers Park, Market Park, Fisher Field, and the 6.6-mile-long Eureka Trail. This division also prepares ball fields for games and tournaments, sets up/cleans up the Conference Center when rented, and assists with events and tournaments. Maintenance 802 PARKS & RECREATION • Fleet management expenses include $50,000 to transfer funds from this Division to the Fleet Management Fund for the future acquisition of replacement vehicles and equipment. • Other contract expenses include $181 ,000 for contractors to mow all parks and other city-owned properties, fertilize various city-owned properties, provide portlets at the Eureka Trail, and other services. • Downtown beautification expenses include $10,000 for contractors to trim trees and maintain the landscape in the downtown areas. • Fixed assets expense includes $50,000 to purchase a replacement trailer, replacement bushog, replacement park signage, replacement portable air compressor, replacement paint machine, replacement chalk machine, replacement bases, replacement playground pieces, and new tables for Cook Park. 47
