Alternate 1, relative to the concrete that has se ttled around the monument , should be accepted and 
fixed for safety reasons. This is a settling issue from the old building and will continue to be a n issue if 
it is not addressed.   
Alternate 2, the pre-cast concrete cap to address the wall around the basketball court  and Alternative 
3, the poured-in-place bench, should be accepted if it is the intent  to preserve the wall as part of the 
school history.  I recommend these as the best options for dressing up the area without disturbing the 
wall.   
 
I do not recommend accepting Alternate 4 , trees , and shrubs,  as that can be handled in phases 
through the general budget or perhaps a community project. 
 
I do not  recommend accepting Alternative 5, replacement of the entire roof, unle ss some unknown 
structural issue necessitates the same. This was included in the event there was not a n adequate 
color match. I recommend using the old roof and if after fading it does not match, look into repainting 
the entire roof.  It should be noted that there will be a color difference from new to old as all colors 
fade.  
 
I have included the building elevations as part of this memorandum  and stand prepared to answer
